Start your day right

Most of us are currently enjoying the best time of the year, summer break. No school, no exams and no early mornings. However most of us are also pretty bored some of these days or just a bit unmotivated. Tired all day because we went too late to bed and lazy days with food and PJs on the couch watching TV. Why don't you use summer break to focus on you for 4 weeks? We don't have any exams we have to focus on and no homework to despair of. Let's check that: New Year 's resolutions? Wasn't there this wish to finally get skinny, get fit or eat healthy? Ooops, looks like most of us already broke up with these dreams and went back to pizza, coke and chocolate. Oh well, we all got our excuses but in the end they won't help us with anything. Let's tackle these goals again and return to school and everybody will be like "OMG, she got so hot!". Isn't that what we all want to hear? Start easy. We all have a pair of fancy Nikes in our closet and we all have at least one pair of running shorts or a sports bra. You don't? Wait, that's no excuse. You can run in trackies, cotton shorts and Converse. That's no problem. Or check your brother's, mother's or sister's closet. I'm sure they'll have something appropriate. Start your day with a run. It doesn't even have to be a long one, 10 minutes is more than fine. And if you feel  exhausted do a break, but don't stop. You'll feel so much better after a completed run. And hey, you're one run closer to "OMG, you're so hot"! When you have an iPhone, get Nike Run and compare your runs or chase your friends. See how you improve with every day and see the calories you burn. And after a week, see the scale stopping a number earlier.

Go and chase your dreams! Nobody ever regretted a workout! Start today and you'll finish a day earlier!

What's in my shower?

I love seeing what other people got in their shower, so here is my version!

As I'm currently trying to use up products, most of my products I have in my shower at the moment will change, so I will do another updated post in like a month. So let's jump in:

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower Gel, L'Oréal EverSleek Conditioner, L'Oréal EverStrong Shampoo, Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner, Dove Purely Pampering Almond Cream with Hibiscus Body Wash, Neutrogena Visibly Clean Pink Grapefruit Face Scrub, Biotherm Pure-Fect Skin Cleansing Gel
L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower Gel: I got this shower gel for christmas from a friend in the 500ml bottle. I'm about 2/3 through it but I still have so much left. The gel doesn't smell like cherries but like warm cherry stones twisted with a bit of cherry blossoms. At the beginning I loved the smell but with time the smell annoyed me and I would only use it for shaving or my legs. The gel itself is really good for cleaning your body and getting rid of all dirt, however it is not as nourishing as other shower gels. I would recommend it, especially for summer, but in a smaller bottle!

L'Oréal EverSleek Conditioner: This creamy textured conditioner is perfect for dry and damaged hair, like I have. I mainly use it for the hair length and ends because it is too thick for the root area, and I would tend to get oily roots after a day. The conditioner leaves the hair smooth and soft so it's easy to detangle and brush. I personally like the smell but I'm not in love with it. However I would definitely give it a try if you haven't yet!

L'Oréal EverStrong Shampoo: The great thing about this product is, that it's sulfate free and gets your hair in a way clean. Especially if you damage your hair a lot through heat styling etc. it's great to use. However I would not recommend using this shampoo as a daily shampoo as it does not clean your hair as good as a normal shampoo and I know that there are much better sulfate free shampoos out there, which do their job a lot better! Adding to that I find the smell a bit too herby(strong thyme). But if your hair is extremely dry or you only want to use a shampoo and not also a conditioner, I would recommend this product as it leaves your hair smooth and soft without following with a conditioner.

Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner: I'm a bit in love with this product, not only because of the amazing smell but also because it does it job quiet well! The conditioner is not too thick but has a creamy texture to nourish your hair. It smells amazing like coconut and you can use it in your root area without getting oily roots after a few hours. However the smell doesn't stay in your hair very long. But I would definitely recommend this product!

Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash Almond Cream and Hibiscus: I love the smell of this body wash! A bit like coconut and mainly almond with a floral note. The body wash is pretty creamy and leaves your skin fully moisturised and soft. Does it job and is truly "purely pampering"!

Neutrogena Visibly Clean Pink Grapefruit Face Scrub: This face scrub is extremely gentle, what makes it perfect for sensitive. It smooths your skin and gets rid of any excess skin. However I think the smell is a bit too much and strong. But I would definitely recommend it for sensitive skin.

Biotherm Pure-Effect Skin Cleansing Gel: I got this product for my birthday as it is a bit expensive. However it's definitely worth the money! The smell is amazing, extremely fresh and reminds me of YSl's Saharienne. The Cleansing Gel turns into a soft foam when applying on wet skin. Afterwards your face feels fully clean and ready for a nice moisturiser. So if you're thinking about getting a good cleansing gel, I would definitely go for this product!

Do you use any of these products? If so, what do you think? Leave me a comment! XOXO

Short Summer Beauty Haul

I thought I should share my latest two additions to my beauty product family, which I picked up a few weeks ago at Victoria's Secret. The PINK section had a great of choosing two beauty products, so I picked up the body mist and body butter from the "sun kissed" line. Both smell gorgeously like coconut water and warm vanilla, what makes them a true summer fragrance for beach, parties or long walks along the coast. The body butter contains a sheer shimmer what gives the skin a perfect summer glow. However does the scent not last for very long so I would recommend using the body butter first and then layering with the body mist for getting longer lasting fragrance. Even thought it's a body butter, it's texture is quiet light and quickly absorbed by the skin what makes it perfect for summer.

I'm so excited for summer to finally arrive and these two guys will definitely be two of my favourites!

Have you purchased any new beauty products recently? What did you get? Leave me a comment below, I'm so interested!

The Benefits of Green Tea

I start every morning with a cup full of green tea. Green tea became a kind of "trend drink" over the last years and guess what, that happened for a reason! Green tea has so many benefits for our health and can even help us lose weight.

So here are my three reasons why:

Weight Loss -  Green tea increases the metabolism, what makes you use more glucose instead of storing it as so called "fat". The polyphenol in it also helps your body to be more efficient. After meals it keeps you fuller and helps regulating the release of insulin.

Preventing and helping with diseases - Green tea can help with diabetes by slowing down the rise of blood sugar after eating and therefore preventing high insulin spikes. Green tea prevent diseases like Heart Diseases, high blood pressure, Alzheimer, Parkinson and Esophageal Cancer. Another benefit is that green tea contains anti-viral and anti-bacterial agents which helps catching diseases from flus and colds to cancer.

Skin and Hair - Green tea gives you nice glowy skin and also helps with any signs of aging because of its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Especially during holidays, green tea is a good drink to go to as it also reduces sun damage. Another plus is that green tea fights against hair loss and helps with quicker and new hair growth.

How many awesome benefits can you get from such a simple and not even expensive drink?

I drink green tea for about a year now and I can really say that I notice a difference. I always have my tea in the morning as breakfast, because I've never been a big breakfast eater and therefore skip it most of the times. I have 2-4 more cups after every meal because of the great fact about the glucose, which keeps you full for a longer time. But attention! Don't add milk, honey, sugar, stevia etc. because it'll cancel out most of the beneficial ingredients of green tea. If you don't like the taste you can just add a fresh leave of mint, what makes it taste like peppermint tea :) Miranda Kerr vows on this amazing drink and when Miranda does, we should as well!

My adorable cup from this morning!

Old Blog

It'll take its time until I managed to write a collection of interesting posts, so why not check out my old blog ? I have to admit that I don't really like the way I used to write and this blog is going to be different.
